Had to do with ...( 1 month ago by the3bigreddevils)
Had to do with knowing his opponent and asking him how much he had left and his reaction to that. Paired flop he knows Jackson would smooth call a big hand. Phil cleary thought he wouldn't CR a 7 there, he deemed paul for not having 88-10's and went with his read. Gut instinct babyy

big GUT. the common trait of players is to flat with a strong hand. can i ask, is it ever right to raise with a set on the flop, if the were two of the same suit wouldnt u have to defend against draws? what do u think?

this is the best semi bluff ever. not tom dwans big one on cash just because it was alot of money, this here was an immense read and shows such power. i think he read him for a 7 or air and thought he could get him off either and with a 7 he still has 6 solid outs, any two pairs counterfitted by the JJ

yeahhh. its all situational, how many players saw the flop, chip stack blinds, cash or tourney. a set yes, trips ehhh. also depends on how weak/strong players are at your table. so many variables but if i flopped bottom set on a draw heavy board and 3 players are at the flop including me cash or tourney im raising more then calling. alot more, i dont play with pros either so you can play your hand face up and still get paid at low/mid stakes

i reckon first person to go all in wins the pot here. no one can flat eithers bet. that all in was just world class, but i think jackson repped all wrong
low stakes, ur ...( 1 month ago by weatherallc05)
low stakes, ur getting paid off with a flopped trips i reckon all day long. however, i would probs raise with my set on a wet board texture and just flatcall on a safe board. then i can hope to get two streets of good value. if im inposition, ive got him totally screwed and can raise the turn no probs. oop, i might check and induce another bet (if he checks turn i aint getting paid off on river lol)
